After returning from the Children's Pastors Conference 2012, I'm launching a project i have put on the back burner for a long time. As i get ready to start my 8th year in children's and youth ministry, I realize that many of the friends I graduated with are no longer in a ministry role. Sometimes I wonder how I even made it this far! At CPC 2012 the theme of networking and community was a constant background unity that really spoke to me. I met so many brand new children's ministry workers and volunteers that saw my ripe age of 29 and went, "You've been in ministry for how long?" I started sharing stories, ideas and I soon realized that maybe I should be blogging about children's ministry as an attempt to start sharing ideas and get the juices flowing (for both myself and others).
As Proverbs 27:17 suggests, as a network of ministry leaders, we need to come together and help build one another up. I hope this blog can be a start for this...as well as a means for discussion and encouragement.
